Central Regional Manager - Houston, TX

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional business development activities and all facets of local operations, including supervision of staff and development of regional budget.
  • As a member of the Leadership Team, opportunity to impact overall success of the firm.
  • Project delivery – works on billable projects and also oversees the project work quality and delivery in the Region
  • Business Development – Implements marking plans for the Region, oversees Regional proposal process, maintains positive relationships in the Region and makes educational presentations to clients on the services offered by the firm.

 

Education, Experience & Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have any combination of a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and experience totaling ten year with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.  Must have managed a business unit of $3,000,000 with three years of profitability and managed projects with a construction value of $500,000 or more.  Registration as a Texas Professional Engineer is required.  Successful candidates will have well-developed problem solving, decision-making, communication and team building skills.

Project Engineer -
San Diego, CA

Key Responsibilities

  • Successful completion of engineering projects by organizing, coordinating and controlling all elements of a project.
  • Leads and/or directs a team in the performance of field work such as soil resistivity testing, corrosion testing, concrete pH testing, condition assessments, flow monitoring, smoke testing, field reconnaissance, inspection, odor data collection and drawing checks.
  • Assists V&A in producing quality work products while focusing on the specific needs of the client.  Work products assigned to this position will include specifications, cost estimates, design calculations, construction details, construction plans, technical reports, and business letters

 

Education, Experience & Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have any combination of a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and experience totaling seven years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Registration as a California Professional Engineer is required.  Successful candidates will have well-developed problem solving, decision-making, communication and team building skills.  Must be comfortable working in the field and confined space experience is a plus.
