V&A recognizes that the firm must retain the services of highly-qualified engineers and staff in order to realize its goals. V&A has, therefore, developed an employee retention strategy that provides for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of each employee.

V&A will hire engineers in the required positions on an as-needed basis; however, if an extraordinary and well-regarded engineer is interested in joining V&A, that engineer may be hired even if the position is already filled. V&A has found that certain high-quality team members are too valuable to pass up.

Project Engineer, Condition Assessment

Mechanical or Civil P.E. with 5 to 10 years of experience in collection system work and must have:

  • Graduated from a 4-year accredited college or university
  • Strong interest in collection systems and experience with electronic flow meters such as ISCO, MGD and American Sigma
  • Strong written and verbal skills

 V&A encourages all staff to participate in any type of training that they feel will help them excel during their careers at V&A, and as part of their individual development plans. In addition, V&A promotes cross-training engineers and mentoring those who are new to the field. 

V&A provides any training that might be needed for a specific project, including topics like first aid,  confined space entry, and project management.
